A multi-awarded and certified platinum recording artists, Side A is considered as the most durable band in the country today and continue to be an ever-innovative musical force in the industry. They've reaped gold and platinum awards. As the Philippines premiere band, they inspired a lot of up and coming groups and helped shape the course of the band scene in the country today. Known for their romantic ballads and sold out live performances, the group never stopped reinventing themselves and has worked hard to give their very best in both recordings and live concerts.

Although they have achieved commercial recognition with their WHITE ( Hold on, 1991 ) and BLUE ( Tuloy pa rin ako, 1992 ) Albums, it was in 1987 that their very 1 st recorded song (Eva Marie by Joey Benin) was played in the airwaves and became a turntable hit and paved the way for the band's self titled album. But their critical success came largely as a result of the release of “ Forevermore ” as a CD single, again written by the band's bassist Joey Benin. The song has won them numerous awards and accolades including Song of the year award in the prestigious 8th annual (1995) Awit awards . It was also during the same year that they packed to the rafters, Cuneta Astrodome for their 10 th Anniversary Concert and released a Live recording of that concert and has reached phenomenal sales of 8x platinum to date.

After numerous sold out major concerts and twelve (12) albums, It was in 1998 that Side A decided to record OPM hits ( Ating Awitin ) from different notable composers of the country which includes among others, works of national artist Lucio San Pedro ( Ugoy ng duyan ) and George Canseco ( Kailangan kita ) as their tribute to the masters of original Pilipino music. Their own interpretation of the classic Filipino compositions have earned them the respect of their peers. It is the combined vocal harmony and a positive lyrical outlook to forge an instantly recognizable sound that sets them apart from other groups. Formed in 1985 and started playing at the Calesa bar from 1986 to 1989. Until now, they continue to dominate the club scene with SRO audiences and constantly performing in a sold out concerts among Filipino communities abroad in the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Japan, U.K., U.A.E. and Southeast Asia.

1989 SIDE A (IVORY RECORDS)
The very first Side A Album that paved the way to their numerous recordings. It contains the hit songs, “Eva Marie” and “Di Pa Huli”.

1991 SIDE A (WHITE ALBUM)
It is in this album under Vicor Music Corporation that gave the band their very first certified hit songs in terms of radio airplay and record sales. Who will ever forget the song “Hold On”?

1992 SIDE A (THE BLUE ALBUM)
Their second under Vicor Music Corporation and the first time that the band revived an old song “Tuloy Pa Rin Ako” by Labuyo that became an instant hit upon release.

1993 BY YOUR SIDE
The first full – length album under Warner Music Philippines – a certified GOLD RECORD also, awarded the Best Performance by a group for the song BY YOUR SIDE and Best Jazz Performance with vocals for the song TRUE LOVE CAN ALWAYS WAIT during the 7th Awit Awards for 1994.
